Setting up Two Factor Authentication on Nifty Gateway Studio

Two factor authentication is incredibly important for securing your account. It is also easy to sign up for and use.

First, download the Authy app

We elected to use Authy as our one touch 2FA provider. To activate one touch authentication, you will first have to install the Authy app on your mobile device.

Then, enroll in 2FA on Nifty Gateway Studio (NGS)

• Make sure you are logged in to your NGS. Then, navigate to the 2FA page on NGS. 
• Enter the phone number of the mobile device you are looking to enroll with, and then click ‘Enroll Number’.
• You will get a text message with your enrollment code. Enter the code to complete enrollment.
• Then, you will see a screen with two radio buttons. Click both to ‘on’, and confirm your new settings on the Authy app

What does turning on 2FA for "Transfer Events" do?

If you enable 2FA for Nifty Transfer Events, you'll need to confirm any action, such as listing an item for sale, withdrawing an item, sending it to someone else, or accepting a bid, with a one-touch confirmation on the Authy app each time.
Enabling 2FA for all transfers is a crucial step for securing your items on Nifty Gateway Studio.
