There are a couple of reasons your card may be declining on Nifty Gateway Studio. These reasons include, but are not limited to:
- Your card may be blocked by your financial institution directly. This can happen when they're unfamiliar with the merchant(us), especially for first-time purchases.
- Your card or billing information has been entered incorrectly.
To resolve this, you can:
- Contact your financial institution to confirm that the charge is authorized.
- Remove and re-add your card with the correct information.
- If the issue is time-sensitive, consider using a different card. Note that cards only need to be verified for Secondary Market purchases, not Primary/time-of-release purchases.
Our site does not approve or deny charges directly. Instead, your financial institution decides whether to approve or decline the payment request from our card processor. For security reasons, we do not receive detailed information about the decline, but your bank can provide an explanation. Additionally, if you attempt to use a blocked card multiple times, our processor may block it permanently.
We’ve encountered instances where certain banks incorrectly categorize our company, leading them to automatically block our attempts. This is an issue that can only be addressed by the banks themselves at this time.
